Location Description Medborgarskolan is a study association that, among other things, organizes courses and creates meeting places for everyone seeking knowledge, development, and experiences! Our operations inspire joyful and lifelong learning. Our core values are the individual at the center, development through collaboration, mutual respect, and the intrinsic value of knowledge. We are located throughout Sweden, offering courses in languages, studio & crafts, data/IT, body & soul, navigation, dance & theater, economics & business knowledge, animals & nature, social studies, photo & film, song & music, food & drink, and technology. We combine pleasant learning methods with high demands on quality and competence.

We are looking for a Course Leader in the following area:

PIANO

Students from age 6 - adult - senior. Levels from beginner to intermediate/advanced. Teaching takes place in small groups and study circle format.

The course sessions are scheduled primarily on THURSDAY afternoons - evenings.

The courses run for approx. 10-12 weeks in HELSINGBORG starting in September.

Employment is ongoing.

Description of duties:

Medborgarskolan is looking for you who want to lead courses in one of the above areas. Being a leader in our study association means:

That you are an independent and engaging course leader who is genuinely interested in the subject. At the same time, you are attentive to the participants' interests and needs. Your creativity in the room and regarding the offering is of great importance! We run our course activities with a focus on the participants, and it is important that you are available in terms of time and geography. Your pedagogical skills and your way of instilling trust and security are tested in different ways in different courses. You have the opportunity to influence our course offering and perhaps also be a course leader in other courses/subjects, even at an advanced level. Some administration is included in the form of work plans and attendance lists.

Description of qualifications:

We are looking for you with post-secondary education focused on one of the above.

Experience of previous teaching is desirable. Experience of music teaching in small groups is particularly meritorious.

You should be independent, responsive, creative, engaged, and genuinely interested in your subject area. You should also be organized as the work involves administration of attendance lists and sometimes participant contact outside of course sessions.

Working Hours Part-time, scheduled working hours. Hourly employment.
