The Education Department is responsible for preschool, primary school, special needs primary school, upper secondary school, and special needs upper secondary school. The responsibility also covers student health services, mother tongue instruction, school transportation, and school meals. We work to create an inspiring learning environment for approximately 10,000 children and students. We have a strong vision of building knowledge and creating dreams.

The Workplace

Between the plains and the sea, you will find the Principal Area of Smyge/Klagstorp. Just outside Trelleborg in the countryside, our units include Smyge School, Klagstorp School, Smygehamn Preschool, and Klagstorp Preschool. The area is led by a principal together with two deputy principals, a kitchen manager, and an administrative manager. We have high goal achievement with a 1–16-year perspective, where the development of children and students is in focus. The principal area has focused on profiling itself within music. Our trained music teacher inspires all children and students from preschool to grade 6 in singing and music.

With high teaching qualifications, we help all children and students reach their full potential. As part of our fantastic team, you will have the opportunity to develop alongside engaged colleagues and become an important role model for our children and students.

Klagstorp School F-6 is the small school with big joy. Approximately 130 students attend the school. The school has students from preschool class up to grade 6. The school has worked with the Green Flag certification for several years and has a conscious approach to our environment and the importance of daily movement.

Job Responsibilities

You will work as a teacher in grades 4–6 at Klagstorp School. As a teacher with us, you support the student in their knowledge development towards set goals and challenge them in their learning. Teaching is conducted in mixed-age groups, which requires a flexible and differentiated approach where you meet the students' different needs and prerequisites.

Together with your colleagues, you plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching. You work in work teams and subject teams where you jointly develop teaching based on the school's prioritized development areas.

We actively work for good communication between school and home, and regularly inform our students and guardians. At the school, we have an extended student health team, where we have invested in counselors and social pedagogues to further strengthen student health.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for grades 4–6 and/or grades 1-6.

We are looking for a teacher who wants to make a difference – every day. If you have experience as a teacher or perhaps even worked as a lead teacher, it is advantageous, but the most important thing is that you have your heart in teaching and the desire to develop both yourself and your students.

You are confident in your professional role and exercise clear and secure leadership, both inside and outside the classroom. You see each student's unique needs and opportunities, and you are passionate about creating engagement and participation in learning.

We believe you have a curious and solution-oriented attitude, and dare to think new thoughts. You see the big picture and can prioritize when daily life requires flexibility and initiative. You communicate clearly with ease and build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are well acquainted with the school's core values and work with a positive, professional attitude in all interactions.
