The Assignment

We are looking for you who want to work extra as a hourly-paid substitute in our primary and lower secondary schools. The work involves replacing permanent staff during short-term absences. Duties include, among other things, conducting lessons and implementing a prepared plan in one or more classes or at the after-school center. You ensure that all students work during lessons and guarantee safety and a good study environment. You may also work with one or more students, supporting them in their schoolwork during lessons and breaks.

As a substitute in our schools, you work based on your available time and can be booked with short notice. You decide when you want to work in the Heroma app and receive an SMS when you are booked by our recruitment team. We are recruiting new substitutes for our substitute pool for the autumn term 2026. We are looking for you who can work at least two days a week.

Conditions for the Substitute Pool

• You make yourself available at least twice a week in the Heroma app and are booked via SMS.
• You control when you want to work based on your available time.
• Booking may come with short notice.
• We prioritize candidates who can work throughout the entire municipality (Svedala urban area, Bara, and Klågerup).

Competence

To be eligible for the position, you must have a completed upper secondary education as well as good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing. As a person, you thrive in a varied environment and are responsible. You have a positive attitude, can take initiative, and collaborate easily.

Furthermore, we are primarily looking for you who are studying to become a teacher, preschool teacher, after-school educator, teacher assistant, study and career counselor, or have another pedagogical post-secondary education. You can also be a retiree or wish to work extra in schools but have an interest in pedagogy.

As a person, you should be a good role model and open in meetings with new people. You have a good manner of dealing with others and the ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and your colleagues. The assignment requires that you take initiative and are not afraid to ask questions. It is important that you take great personal responsibility for knowing what is expected of you in our schools.

Working hours/duration

Intermittent employment, hourly paid. Start date according to agreement.
