Job Description

We are now looking for an experienced researcher for a one-year postdoc position. The main focus of the position is studies regarding the vascular pathology underlying atherosclerotic complications.

As a postdoctoral researcher, you primarily work with computational analyses, including genotyping, transcriptomics, proteomics, histological, and follow-up analyses.

Qualifications

We are looking for an independent researcher with a great interest in vascular biology. With solid focus and a constructive mindset, you contribute with your own ideas while being open to new ones. You are also a team player who enjoys collaborating with others.

Required techniques and skills:

• Flow cytometry and, in particular, extensive experience in immune cell characterization.
• RNA sequencing analyses, including single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics.
• Histology/immunohistochemistry.
• Strong knowledge in computational data science, with a particular focus on the analysis of large-scale biomedical and multi-omics datasets.
• Experience working independently with supervised and unsupervised learning approaches, including gradient boosting, random forests, k-nearest neighbors, feature selection techniques, and other advanced analytical frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs), AI agents, and agent-based workflows.

A PhD in a relevant field, along with strong knowledge of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease, is required. Extensive experience in computational analyses of cells and tissues, as well as the analysis of large-scale biomedical datasets, is essential. The ability to confidently write and discuss science in English is required. Experience from international cardiovascular or immunology research environments is considered a strong merit.
