RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now seeking an experienced researcher for a one-year postdoctoral position. The main focus of the position is research on the vascular pathology underlying atherosclerotic complications.

As a postdoc, you will primarily work with large-scale data analyses, including genotyping, transcriptomics, proteomics, histological analyses, and follow-up analyses.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for an independent researcher with a strong interest in vascular biology. You work purposefully, have a constructive approach, and contribute your own ideas while remaining open to new perspectives. You also thrive in collaborative settings.

Techniques and competencies required for the position:

• Experience with flow cytometry, particularly extensive experience in characterizing immune cells.
• Experience with RNA sequencing analyses, including single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics.
• Experience with histology and immunohistochemistry.
• Robust knowledge in computational data science, with a specific focus on the analysis of large-scale biomedical data and multi-omics data.
• Ability to independently work with machine learning methods, including gradient boosting, random forests, k-nearest neighbors, variable selection techniques, and other advanced analysis methods.
• Practical experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and agent-based workflows.

A PhD and thorough knowledge of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular diseases are required. Experience in computational analyses of cells and tissues, as well as the analysis of large-scale biomedical datasets, is mandatory. The ability to write scientific texts and discuss research fluently in English is required. Experience from international research environments within cardiovascular research or immunology is considered a very strong merit.
