We now offer the opportunity to teach Spanish at Tollarps School in combination with Fjälkinge School.

At the lower secondary level of Tollarps School, we are looking for you who want to become part of a team working to strengthen our community, where our core values of relationships, engagement, and shared vision guide our approach towards students, each other, and everyone we meet. If you want to develop and contribute with curiosity, innovative thinking, and professionalism, you are welcome to apply to us at Tollarps School!

Fjälkinge School is a K-9 school located in the countryside just outside Kristianstad, where Joy, Learning, Engagement, Security, and Responsibility are our key words. We work closely together in a warm and supportive collegium where ideas are welcomed and where every employee has the opportunity to contribute their competence and personality. Here we dare to think new, value strong relationships, and work with a clear focus: that both students and staff should feel pride when they walk through the doors every day.

The younger students mainly come from the nearby villages, while the lower secondary school attracts young people from large parts of the municipality – and even from neighboring municipalities – thanks to our popular football academy.

Your role with us

You will teach students in grades 6-9 in the subject of Spanish with 60% at Tollarps School and the remaining 40% at Fjälkinge School. As a teacher with us, you stimulate students to learning and train them to become responsible individuals. With engagement and enthusiasm, you create a secure learning environment based on mutual respect and cooperation, through good leadership both in and outside the classroom.

The teaching is designed based on the goals of the curriculum, where planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation are important pillars. You have positive and high expectations of the students and adapt the teaching to the level of all students, with a focus on the student's best interests.

Through dialogue, you create good relationships characterized by mutual respect and a trusting approach. In your role, you keep up to date with events in the outside world and young people's daily lives. Alternative teaching tools and documentation are a natural part of your work. You systematically reflect on the practical work and together with colleagues drive development work in the team and at the school. You also have a shared responsibility for both your own and the group's planning and further development.

If you are new as a teacher, you are supported by a mentor for the best guidance in the work, and you as an unqualified teacher can conduct teaching but not be responsible for it. Responsibility for grading lies with a certified teacher.

Who are we looking for?

We are primarily looking for you with a teaching certificate with eligibility to teach in grades 6-9 in the subject of Spanish. We would like you to have experience in conducting teaching, preferably in primary school, and have worked with children/young people aged 9-15 years.

Two days a week you will move between the schools, which requires a driver's license and access to a car.

In order for us to be able to decide on your application, you must attach your degree certificate and teaching certificate. If there are no eligible certified teachers, you as an unqualified person can be employed for a limited time according to the School Act. When we want to offer you the position, it is required that you show an extract from the police record to enable us to employ you, according to regulations in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the School Act.
