With us, the role is bigger than just teaching. You strengthen students' knowledge development while contributing to their social and personal development. Based on security, study environment, and good relationships, you lead the teaching and create a learning environment where students can succeed throughout the school day. You plan, implement, and develop teaching both independently and together with colleagues. Through our subject-specific PLC (Professional Learning Community) groups, we develop teaching on a scientific basis and from proven experience, in close collaboration with school leadership and colleagues.

Mentorship is a central part of our operations. As a mentor, you become an important adult in the students' daily lives and a key person for their social and pedagogical development. You follow the students' journey, support them in their challenges, and help them create the best conditions to reach their full potential.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified teacher with the qualification to teach mathematics, Natural Science (NO), and Technology for grades 7–9. With a solution-focused and pragmatic approach, you handle both the opportunities of everyday life and the periods when the pace is higher.

We value that you have a good understanding of the school's mission and regulatory documents and that you translate these into teaching characterized by quality, clarity, and high expectations. Through your didactic and pedagogical competence, you create an stimulating learning environment where students get the best conditions to develop both knowledge-wise and personally.

You feel comfortable using digital tools as a natural part of teaching and keep up-to-date with research and proven methods that strengthen students' learning. With us, we combine analog teaching materials with digital tools based on students' needs, and Google Classroom is an integrated part of teaching in all subjects.

Previous experience of teaching in the later years of primary school is meritorious, and we would like you to contribute both competence, engagement, and new perspectives to our collegium.

About the Workplace

The Western Principal's Area consists of Västra Skolan, Rådmansvångens Skola, and our newly established resource school for students in grades 4–9. The organization is led by a principal, four assistant principals, and an administrative director who work close to the operations and are available as support in both the pedagogical work and daily operations.
