Job Responsibilities

You will teach Physical Education to students in grades 4–6. You are responsible for planning and delivering lessons, as well as assessing your students' acquired knowledge. Here, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with your colleagues in an open and supportive environment where collegial exchange and learning are second nature. Your teaching is grounded in official documents and current research. You will develop and advance your subject with a high ambition for inclusive education for all students. Your teaching is also modern and creative, aiming to find strategies to strengthen your students both academically and in their personal development.

Together with your colleagues, you work to ensure that students have a well-functioning school experience. Planning, evaluation, student welfare, development conferences, and continuous contact with guardians are examples of tasks included in the role. It may also involve supervising teacher trainees. Qualifications

You, as an applicant, hold a Swedish teaching license with eligibility to teach Physical Education in grades 4–6. You also have excellent knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Previous experience working as a teacher is considered a merit.

You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's official documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. Furthermore, you have strong didactic and pedagogical skills, allowing you to lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment and study peace for our students throughout their school day. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with good familiarity and practice, you work efficiently with relevant digital tools. Naturally, you have a professional approach and work to build good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.

To fit as a primary/lower secondary school teacher with us at Söderkullaskolan, it is important that you have a natural pedagogical leadership presence in the classroom, are extremely structured, and are very skilled at handling teenagers who need various types of support and adjustments. About the Workplace

Söderkullaskolan is a grades F–9 school in southern Malmö where our approximately 900 students are at the center. We work for a good working climate that stimulates students' motivation, sense of responsibility, and desire to learn. The educators work in teams where mentoring, planning, implementation, assessment, and data analysis are central parts. We want Söderkullaskolan to be every student's best school, where all students receive learning, feel safe, and gain a positive outlook on the future. In grades 7–9, we have advanced classes in English with national admission.
