Job Description

We are currently looking for teachers in textile craft and design as well as wood and metal craft and design for our students in grades 3–6.

You are responsible for planning and implementing teaching according to the Swedish National Curriculum for the Compulsory School (Lgr22). You assess and collaborate with your nearest craft colleague as well as other teachers. You work with clear lesson structures, adaptations, and the foresight that students need. You plan content and activities based on the steering documents and the students' needs.

The craft education is located in modern, bright facilities at Svenshögskolan, and you will teach students in grades 3–6 from both Svenshögskolan and Humlemadskolan.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone interested in language-developing work. You have a teaching degree and are qualified in the craft subject with a focus on textile craft and design.

You are empathetic and structured in your role, and you enjoy working in primary school with crafts. You engage with current research, dare to think new thoughts, and are creative.

You use digital tools to enhance the quality of the operations for both students and yourself. We are looking for someone who is aware of the assignment, goals, and steering documents, and who bases their work on students' experiences and prerequisites.

You believe in making craft education accessible to all students. Together with the work team, you provide students with optimal conditions to develop their learning and personality in the best possible way. You are part of both the lower and middle school work teams.

You work creatively, independently, and solution-focused, seeing opportunities in the situations you encounter in your professional life. Good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues are natural to you.

Subject qualification and teaching certification are required for permanent employment.
