The Employment Unit (AME) in Finspång Municipality consists of 20 employees. We actively work to strengthen individuals who need various interventions and support with the aim of achieving or approaching self-sufficiency through work and/or studies. The target group for AME is individuals between 18–67 years who receive financial assistance from Finspång Municipality. At AME, interventions are directed towards practical work training and internships combined with theoretical interventions and support regarding job seeking. We have supervisors and mentors linked to various operations. In addition to these, there are also employment coordinators who support individuals individually towards work and/or studies.
This position focuses on individual support and will not be tied to any specific operation.
The work is carried out with a focus on personal development through step-by-step transition to work and self-sufficiency. The focus is on getting individuals into activities that are needs- and individual-adapted and supporting them while they are active. We place great emphasis on the social and motivational aspects.
Your future responsibilities
As an employment coordinator, you will guide, support, and mentor individuals towards self-sufficiency. This may involve coordinated support during work training and internships at the Employment Unit and out at other units and companies, depending on the individual's needs. Therefore, we would appreciate it if you have an easy time making contacts on the labor market and can build relationships with the business community. You will be responsible for mapping the individual's needs, providing individual and cohesive support in transitions towards work/studies. Together with the individual, you will create a cohesive and clear plan that you continuously follow up on and adapt based on the individual's needs with the goal of approaching the labor market. You will have both internal and external contacts with authorities, healthcare, etc., depending on the individual's needs.
The position is a permanent position belonging to the Employment Unit, and the content of the position may vary with different employment interventions offered at our unit.
The role also involves
We see that you have experience in social work, experience working with people, and meeting them at their individual level, where some have shorter and others longer paths into the labor market. We would appreciate it if you have experience working with people who have reduced work capacity and/or disabilities and that you can adapt your way of communicating. You support step-by-step transitions, identify support needs, and follow up on development that occurs. We see that you need to have the ability to work in long processes and keep focus on planning. You need to be comfortable working closely with individuals in the environment where activities are arranged. We work with systematic follow-up together with social secretaries who formulate the assignments we work according to. We see that you have experience handling documentation and following guidelines regarding this.
Who are you?
You are educated as a social worker, behavioral scientist, or have another university degree assessed as equivalent. A requirement is that you have worked with employment interventions for at least one year and/or social work that involved supporting progression towards self-sufficiency. We also see that you have experience working with individuals with mental illness and/or other social vulnerability.
Personal suitability is given great weight.
Working hours: 7 AM – 4 PM, weekdays
