Do you want a meaningful job where you truly make a difference in someone's daily life? We are now looking for a personal assistant for a 40-year-old man in Mantorp living with ALS.

ABOUT THE CLIENT The client is a social person with a great interest in computers, cars, and programming. He lives with his three children (aged 10, 12, and 14), his wife, and two dogs. Activities are appreciated according to the client's interests, provided his well-being and the weather allow it.

He needs help with most aspects of daily life, including:

• PEG tube for food and medication
• Cough assist machine and breathing support
• Mobility/transfers (with his own active participation)

The role also involves becoming an important part of a family life, but you must also respect the client's need for personal time and privacy.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We are looking for someone who is:

• Physically strong and agile, as no assistive devices are currently used
• Independent, detail-oriented, and has a strong work ethic
• Sensitive – you should be able to sense when it is time to give space
• Not allergic to or afraid of dogs
• Comfortable in varying situations and preferably has care or assistance experience

It is an advantage if you are female, but not a requirement. A driver's license and car are meritorious but not mandatory.

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at SAAND Assistans is that you can present a valid ID and any documents proving your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as employers must request a criminal record extract from all employees working as personal assistants for a child under 18. To ensure the safety of our clients at SAAND Assistans, we obtain extracts from the criminal record register for all those we employ. Therefore, you must present an extract from the police's criminal record register prior to any potential employment.
