About the Operation

The primary school/special primary school operation is part of the Education Administration. The operation comprises 21 primary schools as well as special primary school, with a total of approximately 4,500 students. Four of the primary schools are upper secondary schools, while the others, with a few exceptions, cover grades F-6. The operation also includes leisure centres.

About Zederslundsskolan

Zederslundsskolan is a grades 7-9 school in central Motala with close proximity to public transport. Our school idea:

Approximately 280 students attend the school. During the school day, students are often divided into different teaching groups in core subjects and modern languages, for example. We have a high proportion of qualified teachers and work in work teams and subject teams for the students' development towards higher goal fulfillment. The school staff work and act together to support our students in achieving upper secondary school eligibility. Being employed at Zederslundsskolan implies expectations to meet the students with a positive view of students and contribute to our special Zederslund spirit where everyone should feel seen. The classrooms are well-equipped and well-adapted for a learning environment. Students have access to their own student computers and a high proportion of high-quality analog teaching materials. Student democracy is important at the school with a well-developed student council and class council. We work systematically together with student health and teachers to increase school attendance, and the social worker's assignment includes, among other things, supporting the mentors in an attendance team together with the school counselor (SYV).

Job Description

As a school social worker, you are part of the school's student health team and work promotively, preventively, and remedially at the organizational, group, and individual levels from a psychosocial and salutogenic perspective. You work cross-professionally close to the pedagogical operation and support the students' development towards the goals of education. As a school social worker, you work with accessible learning environments, adapted and differentiated teaching, as well as values-based work. You promote student attendance and counteract discrimination and humiliating treatment. If necessary, you participate in meetings with guardians and collaborate and mediate contact with other authorities and organizations in society. You collaborate with other school staff and participate in the school's systematic quality work and are part of the central student health network where student health social workers meet regularly.

Qualifications

Education

• You have a social work degree (socionom).

Swedish Language Skills

• You have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.

Experience

• Experience in curative work with the target group of children and young people is meritorious.
• Additional education as a health care social worker is meritorious.

Personal Qualities

You are confident in yourself, stand up for your opinions, and have the courage to speak up when necessary. You have the ability to distinguish between facts and personality and can feel secure even in uncertain situations. You take active initiative in social contexts, step forward, and easily create and maintain new relationships. You work well with other people, relate to them in a listening and smooth way, can adapt, and find win-win solutions through a status-free focus on the common goal.
