We are looking for an engaged and secure individual for our children's home under LSS Section 9, Paragraph 8. Here, you will have the opportunity to work closely with children and young people with disabilities and contribute to a safe, developmental, and meaningful everyday life.

About the operations

The children's home is aimed at children and young people with extensive support needs. The work involves creating safety, structure, and predictability in daily life, requiring a calm, professional, and enduring approach.

We are looking for someone who has experience meeting children and young people with complex needs, can maintain their composure even in pressurized situations, and has the ability to build long-term, trusting relationships.

To thrive in this role, you need to be secure in yourself, have good collaboration skills, great patience, and the ability to see opportunities even when the work is demanding.

DUTIES

You contribute your competence to individually adapted support, service, and care based on each child's needs and conditions. The work includes, among other things:

• Support in daily activities and personal development
• Planning and implementation of activities
• Collaboration with guardians and other actors
• Documentation according to current legislation and routines
• Active participation in the development work of the operations

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Has education in healthcare and social care, child and youth activities, social pedagogy, support pedagogy, or other education that the employer deems equivalent
• Has commendable experience working with children and young people with disabilities as well as challenging behaviors
• Has good collaboration skills, is responsible, and secure in your professional role
• Has good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
• Has a B driving license

Extensive experience with LSS, clear pedagogy (visual support), AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), low-affective handling, and quality assurance are meritorious.

Opportunity for a coordination role

For the right person, the position may also include a time-limited assignment as an overall coordinator within the LSS operations. The assignment entails special responsibility for coordination, structure, and development work, and comes with a salary supplement. The coordination assignment is decided for one year at a time and can thereafter be extended based on the operations' needs and the employer's assessment.
