The position is located within the Social Services Administration, which is one of eight administrations in Linköping Municipality. The Social Services Administration is responsible for authority exercises, ordering of measures, and own management within the areas of individual and family care, LSS (Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), and social psychiatry. We ensure that all residents receive the support they are entitled to.

Your Responsibilities
In the role of support assistant, you support the client in their daily life. You are responsible for structuring and planning their daily life together with the individual, as well as jointly designing the measures provided. The scope and content of the measures are always based on the individual's needs and are established through an implementation plan. Measures can include support in various contexts to manage daily living, for example, cleaning, laundry, shopping, as well as providing care support. The support and help you provide is given with respect for the individual's self-determination, integrity, participation, and in your role, you support the individual's confidence in their own abilities.
The work involves offering and motivating for activities, social community, and engagement with the support of motivational interviewing (MI) and a pedagogical approach. You may also support the individual in contacts with authorities and, if necessary, accompany the individual to activities.
The operation's working method is ESL (An Independent Life) and IBIC (The Individual's Needs at the Center), where the goal is for the individual to manage daily life with high quality of life. We work based on a low-affective approach characterized by calmness and positive expectations of the individual, with the aim of reducing stress and problem-causing behavior. Maintaining social documentation and actively working with follow-up of implementation plans is part of the work. The work is meaningful and varied.
Your Workplace
Skattegården 55 is a service housing facility for people with neuropsychiatric disabilities. The residence consists of 11 apartments located in the district of Skäggetorp. The assignments and support you provide are based from the base apartment at Skattegården 55. The clients live at various addresses around Skäggetorp.
The work group consists of 4 colleagues with varied backgrounds, most of whom are support assistants or support educators. We are currently looking for a new colleague who wants to become part of our wonderful team. The position is a permanent full-time (100%) employment, and working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, and weekends.

Who You Are
We are looking for you who are a nursing assistant, care assistant, or have equivalent education assessed by the employer as equivalent, as well as previous experience working in support, care, and social services. Experience in psychiatry and/or neuropsychiatry is considered an advantage. Experience working with addiction issues, self-harm behavior, and/or social work is also considered an advantage. We work based on ESL (An Independent Life), IBIC (The Individual's Needs at the Center), motivational interviewing (MI), low-affective approach, and pedagogical approach, and knowledge in these areas is considered an advantage.
Good Swedish skills, both spoken and written, are required, as well as computer proficiency, as we use language as a work tool in contact with clients and for documentation and record keeping. Previous experience with documentation and drawing up implementation plans is considered an advantage.
We are looking for someone who works well with other people, listens, communicates, and resolves conflicts in a constructive manner. Furthermore, you are calm and stable even in stressful situations and focus on the right things. In your work, you can weigh the pros and cons of different decisions and show good judgment in your choices. You enjoy challenges, take responsibility for your tasks, and are sensitive to the different needs of your surroundings.
