Do you want a meaningful job where you truly make a difference in someone's daily life? We are now looking for a personal assistant for a 40-year-old man in Mantorp who lives with ALS. ABOUT THE CLIENT The client is a social person with a great interest in computers, cars, and programming. He lives with his three children (10, 12, and 14 years old), his wife, and two dogs. For this client, activities are appreciated according to his interests, when his well-being and the weather allow it. He needs help with most things in daily life, including:

• PEG tube for food and medication
• Tracheal suction machine and breathing assistance
• Mobility/transfers (with his own active participation)

The work also means that you become an important part of a family life, but you must also respect the client's need for privacy and personal space. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We are looking for you who are:

• Physically strong and agile, as no assistive devices are currently used
• Independent, detail-oriented, and have a high work ethic
• Perceptive – you should be able to sense when it is time to give space
• Not allergic to or afraid of dogs
• Comfortable in varying situations and preferably have care or assistance experience

It is an advantage if you are a woman, but not a requirement. A driver's license and car are meritorious but not mandatory. A prerequisite for starting employment with us at SAAND Assistans is that you, as an applicant, can present a valid ID and any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old. According to legislation, we as employers must request a criminal record extract from all employees who are to work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. Therefore, you need to present an extract from the police's criminal record register prior to a potential employment.
