The Psychiatric Clinic Motala Mjölby consists of outpatient clinics within general psychiatry and addiction care in Motala and Mjölby. The operations also include an inpatient ward and a mobile nursing team, both located in Motala.

The clinic works from a cohesive care chain with treatment responsibility in both outpatient and inpatient care. The clinic covers western Östergötland as its catchment area and has been part of Psychiatric Centre in Region Östergötland since 2020, together with all other psychiatric operations in the region.

Job Description

A meaningful assignment close to the patient

Here, you will meet patients with complex needs. You work with psychosocial investigations, treatment interventions, and support for patients, relatives, and networks. At the same time, you play a central role in highlighting how social and societal factors affect mental health and contributing to creating the best possible conditions for the patient's recovery and participation.

Expert support in social issues and legislation

As a counselor, you are the operation's expert in social legislation and society's support measures.

You guide patients regarding their rights and opportunities for support and collaborate with actors such as the municipality, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and other healthcare and social care providers.

You initiate and coordinate interventions when needed and work to strengthen the patient's own resources and opportunities.

Work Group

Collaboration that makes a difference

The work takes place in close collaboration with doctors, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, and other professions. You actively participate in team conferences, care planning, and treatment discussions where your competence contributes to a holistic view of the patient's needs and continued care.

  • Have a great interest in mental health and psychiatric work.

  • Have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work.

Merits

  • Experience of working within specialist psychiatry.
  • Licence as a healthcare counselor.

The position is a full-time temporary assignment for one year, starting on September 1st.
