The Social Services Administration is responsible for exercising authority, procuring services, and providing direct care in the areas of individual and family care, LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), and social psychiatry. Your responsibilities

As a Support Pedagogue at Ålerydsvägen 9, you will play a central role in developing the pedagogical work within the operation. This is the first time the operation is appointing a Support Pedagogue, which means that together with the work group, you will help build and develop working methods, structure, and common approaches.

You will work both in providing daily support to users and in supporting colleagues in their pedagogical work. The work takes place in close collaboration with the work group, where you together plan, implement, and follow up on interventions. The assignment includes contributing to structure and clarity in daily life, mapping needs and developing working methods together with the group, and following up and evaluating interventions over time. You also contribute to reflection and learning within the work group.

Working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, every other weekend, and including sleeping on-call duty.

Your workplace

Ålerydsvägen 9 is an LSS facility where you work together with support assistants to provide support to users with varying needs. The facility plans jointly with nearby units.

The work group is in a development phase, and there is a need to strengthen collaboration and create a more uniform working method. As a Support Pedagogue, you will become an important part of this work. You need to be able to contribute to creating structure while remaining sensitive to what is already working well.

The work is active and involves participating in activities together with the users. Daily life includes both calmer and more challenging situations, where thoughtful interaction is crucial.

Who you are

We are looking for you who have a University College (YH) education as a Support Pedagogue comprising 200 credits, or another education assessed as equivalent. You have documented experience in applying low-arousal approaches in your work. Since the work involves documentation and communication, it is important that you can communicate in Swedish both orally and in writing, and that you have good computer skills.

To function in the role, you need to be sensitive and have good collaboration skills. You need to be able to work independently and take responsibility for your assignment. You are clear in your communication and have a commitment to developing working methods and operations together with others. It is also important that you have an empathetic ability, meaning you can put yourself in others' perspectives and situations. It is vital that you also have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and can understand people's different prerequisites.
