Our units in Varv and Väderstad are both located in rural areas, each with a total of six residential places.
Varv is located eight minutes from Motala city center, and the operations in Väderstad are located just a stone's throw outside Väderstad center.
Both Varv and Väderstad focus on psychiatry, and we collaborate extensively with forensic psychiatry.
In Väderstad, we have a clear nature profile with, among other things, chickens, cats, rabbits, and wood handling, where we together with our residents take care of our farm and its four-legged inhabitants.
In Varv, we have access to large green areas and excellent opportunities for outdoor activities, both in the garden and on the balcony.
About the role of Support AssistantAs a support assistant, you will work to provide individually adapted support to people with disabilities, with the goal of promoting their independence and well-being in everyday life. You will support users in their daily routines and activities based on their needs and abilities, always using their personal implementation plan as a starting point.
We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, starting from each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for users to achieve as much independence as possible and to be able to live a meaningful life with high quality of life. As a support assistant, you work based on clarifying pedagogy and low-affective handling to create security and predictability in the users' daily lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the organization's resources and budget.
QualificationsYou are relationship-building, calm, stable, and able to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good cooperation skills and relate to others in a listening manner, and you enjoy collaborating with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Since we are currently looking for you who can step in extra during illness or leave, we see that this can preferably be combined with studies.
Requirements:- Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Good computer skills, experience with documentation.
- Experience working in care and social services.
- Secondary education such as Child and Youth Program, Care and Nursing Program, or post-secondary education such as support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or university education in a relevant field.
- Experience in psychiatry, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), and low-affective handling.
- Worked with complex support needs.
Employment Type: Fixed-term employment based on need. Workload: Working Hours: 7-24, sleeping on-call as well as awake night shifts. Start Date: By agreement, we view it positively if you can start soon. Collective Agreement: We are bound by collective agreements to Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Sector E.
