We are looking for a Production Technician who will primarily work with the preparation of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and be technically responsible for assigned products throughout the entire manufacturing process. The role involves close collaboration with design, production, and quality functions to ensure efficient, high-quality, and trouble-free production.

The Production Technician is responsible for creating and maintaining production preparations, creating and updating operation lists, and ensuring that correct documentation is available for manufacturing. The role also includes handling production deviations, troubleshooting, and providing ongoing technical support to production.

A significant part of the work takes place on the production floor, where the Production Technician acts as a key link between design and manufacturing and drives improvement work within their product area.

Responsibilities

Preparation

• Create, update, and maintain production preparations for PCBs and electronic products.
• Develop operation lists, manufacturing instructions, and time data for production.
• Ensure that the correct production documentation, drawings, work instructions, and quality requirements are linked to the product.
• Review design documentation and ensure that drawings and specifications are clear enough and adapted for production.
• Participate in the industrialization of new products and changes to existing products.

Production Support and Deviation Handling

• Provide technical support to assemblers and operators in daily production.
• Investigate, analyze, and handle deviations, quality defects, and production disruptions related to responsible products.
• Participate in root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure that production problems are handled efficiently to minimize impact on delivery and quality.
• Work closely with quality, design, and purchasing on technical issues.

Process and Method Development

• Be responsible for the development and improvement of production methods, processes, and working practices within their product area.
• Identify and drive improvement initiatives focusing on quality, efficiency, delivery security, and cost.
• Contribute to the standardization and optimization of production flows.
• Participate in the introduction of new manufacturing methods and technical solutions.

Competence Development

• Build and maintain specialist knowledge in relevant production and manufacturing processes.
• Document and disseminate knowledge within the organization.
• Train and support employees in production methods, instructions, and technical processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electronics, electrical engineering, production technology, or equivalent technical education, or documented relevant work experience.
• Swedish citizenship.
• Good technical understanding and ability to interpret technical documentation and drawings.
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in PCB/PCBA production.
• Experience from electronics production or other manufacturing industries.
• Experience in production preparation, industrialization, or production technology work.
• Knowledge of IPC standards, electronics assembly, or soldering processes.
• Experience with ERP and PLM systems.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement work.
