Welcome to Saab Special Mission and Regional Aircraft (SMRA). We are looking for a Systems Engineer who wants to use their technical expertise to keep our Saab 340 and Saab 2000 aircraft flying for at least another 10 years. After more than 40 years in the air, these aircraft remain world leaders in their class, and we have operators all over the world.

Here, you will have the chance to work alongside a group of highly experienced technical leaders. You will handle inquiries from our operators, conduct technical investigations, and drive projects related to obsolescence, damage, and development within the aforementioned technical areas. You will have contact points with many different departments and technical fields within Saab, as well as with external subcontractors and customers.

Your Role

As a Systems Engineer, you are responsible for technical follow-up and investigation of cases concerning the Saab 340 and Saab 2000. You handle authority-initiated issues as well as direct customer inquiries, and you maintain contact with several departments, external suppliers, and our operators. The tasks rarely have a ready-made solution – you are expected to actively seek knowledge and networks within and outside Saab to solve them. The role involves technical support for the customers' operational activities and offers a clear path towards future technical leadership responsibilities.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is curious, driven, and solution-oriented. You thrive in an environment where collaboration is crucial and where you are given responsibility. You are communicative, unpretentious, and have an easy time building good relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.

You have competence in one or more of the following technical areas: cooling/air conditioning, fire protection, fuel, de-icing and rain protection, oxygen, pneumatics, and water/waste.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or experience providing equivalent competence.
• At least 5 years of work experience in relevant aviation/system areas.
• Languages: you express yourself effortlessly in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance assessment according to the regulations in force at the time. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
