Your Role
Do you want to be at the forefront where IT, OT, and industrial digitalization meet? Are you passionate about smart solutions, real-time data, and scalable platforms? Then this might be the role for you.
We are now looking for developers within Smart Manufacturing who want to help create the next generation of digital industrial solutions – from shop floor to cloud.
Here, you will work closely with production, operations, and IT to develop robust and future-proof solutions within smart manufacturing and industrial data management. You will have the opportunity to influence architecture, technology choices, and how the solutions are used in reality.
As a developer, you will be part of an agile solution team and work on various exciting projects. You will play a key role in integrating and optimizing our systems to achieve higher efficiency, scalability, and productivity. Areas of responsibility and focus may vary depending on the candidate's profile and strengths.
The team includes a team lead/scrum master, solution architect, business analyst, and developers. The operations are distributed both geographically and across several different teams.
The position will involve travel.
Examples of what you will work with:
- Develop and maintain IIoT solutions based on Ignition and HighByte.
- Integrate and configure SCADA systems to ensure smooth communication between different devices and systems.
- Work with UNS to create a unified and flexible data model.
- Configure and program PLCs to control and monitor industrial processes.
- Develop data flows from source systems such as ERP, MES, SCADA all the way to visualization in Grafana, running in a Kubernetes environment.
- Work with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS to build, operate, and scale solutions.
Your Profile
We are looking for a meticulous and methodical problem solver who is accustomed to taking responsibility and working independently. You have strong analytical skills, a good ability to structure and document your work, an eye for detail, and a desire to continue developing within modern industrial technology.

We believe you have experience with several of the following:
- Development and maintenance of IIoT solutions. Knowledge of SCADA systems and integration of industrial devices. Ignition or Kepware is advantageous.
- UNS or similar industrial data modeling. HighByte Intelligence Hub is advantageous.
- Practical production experience.
- Knowledge of PLC programming and configuration.
- Understanding of common industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA and MQTT to integrate different devices and systems.
- SQL and database management.
- Kubernetes and container-based environments.
- Cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Grafana for visualization and monitoring.
- Understanding of version control tools, such as Git, to efficiently manage source code and collaborate with other developers.
- Good programming skills, especially within industrial applications.
- Programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar.

The location is flexible between Linköping, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Karlskoga, Karlstad, and Jönköping.
The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
