Do you want to work close to the business, understand our customers' daily lives, and play a central role in ensuring the quality of the solutions we deliver? IMI develops business-critical solutions for logistics-intensive operations, with many dependencies and complex flows. To strengthen our teams, we are now looking for a tester who can combine structured manual testing with long-term work to build, structure, and continuously develop effective and automated test flows, contributing to smarter ways of working over time.

About the role

As a software tester, you will become an important part of our development team, where you will have the opportunity to influence how we work with testing and quality assurance of our solutions. In this role, you will participate in discussions regarding requirements and solution proposals, translating user needs into clearly formulated and executable tests. You will also perform tests, contribute with analysis, and ensure that testability and quality are considered throughout the entire development process.

By your side, you will have developers, product owners, UX resources, and domain experts to ensure that quality is built in early and maintained throughout the entire development cycle.

Main responsibilities of the role:

  • Manual testing of our applications to ensure quality in the release process, including end-to-end/flow tests, functional tests, and edge case testing
  • Drive and develop test automation for central test cases and flows, and contribute to building and further developing our test suite, focusing on increasing the degree of automated flow tests where it adds the most value
  • Creation and management of test cases and test scenarios linked to requirements, processes, and user flows
  • Drive questions and contribute perspectives on how solutions are perceived and used by end-users
  • Identify, document, and follow up on deviations and ensure that solutions function as intended
  • Contribute to the improvement of testing methodology and working methods
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure testability and quality

Your profile

We believe you are at the beginning of your career and enjoy combining technology, structure, and collaboration. You have an interest in understanding business logic and complex processes, and you see the value in an exploratory approach where the focus is on how different solutions are used in practice.

You are curious, responsible, and driven by learning new things and how you, together with your team, can best deliver stable, useful, and reliable solutions. Experience or interest in test automation is advantageous but not a requirement. The most important thing is that you have a basic understanding of testing work and a willingness to learn and develop in the role. We also view positively an interest in using modern tools, including AI, to strengthen testing work and contribute to more efficient ways of working over time.

We believe you have:

  • A university or master's degree in computer science, systems science, logistics, or equivalent
  • Background in testing, development, UX research, or similar field
  • Good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • A curiosity and willingness to learn and develop

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Experience with manual testing in business systems or other complex domains
  • Basic knowledge of test automation and modern tools
  • Experience with API testing
  • Worked in agile teams
  • Experience with logistics, warehouse, or order flows

The position is primarily located in Linköping, but a location in Gothenburg could be possible.
