Your role

The avionics field is growing, and we are looking for a Systems Engineer to join the development of the Gripen. Here you work with advanced avionics computers and have overall responsibility from requirements definition and system design to verification prior to flight. The avionics computers are central to the aircraft and support both basic functions and advanced tactical systems. In this role, you will gain a broad understanding of how the systems interact and are integrated into the aircraft as a whole.

In this role, you will focus on:

• System development and system responsibility for avionics computers
• Maintenance, management, and further development of existing systems
• Requirements management, verification, and troubleshooting
• Handling and documenting changes to ensure traceability and airworthiness
• Close collaboration with software and systems engineers, suppliers, and production

Your profile

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with complex systems
• Drives their work forward in a structured and independent manner
• Thrives in collaboration and contributes actively in teams where you solve complex technical challenges together
• Has a relevant university degree, for example in systems, data, or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience
• Communicates well in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
