Do you want to work at the intersection of software, systems, and hardware, and help develop tools that enable testing of advanced camera and radar systems in the automotive industry?
As a Software Engineer within GSE Tools (Generic Surveillance Equipment) in our GIT Team (GSE Integration Team), you will play a central role in developing software platforms and tools used for testing, validation, and analysis in global projects.
You will work closely with development, testing, and system teams, contributing to the creation of robust, scalable, and efficient solutions that ensure high quality throughout the entire development chain.
About the Role
- Develop and improve GSE tools, test applications, scripts (Python/Lua), and GUIs for control and analysis
- Contribute to the entire development cycle – from requirements to implementation and verification
- Analyze data, logs, and test results to identify areas for improvement
- Troubleshoot systems and communication, and analyze root causes in HW/SW integrations (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, ECU, GMSL)
- Support projects, DV/PV, and production with technical solutions and analyses
- Contribute to architecture development with a focus on reusability and scalability
- Work in agile teams and collaborate globally
- Actively contribute to improved quality, stability, and efficiency in tools and processes
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is at the beginning of their career or has up to a couple of years of experience, and who wants to develop within software development with a focus on testing and verification. This is an environment where you will build a broad understanding of systems – not just write code.
You are an engaged team player with technical competence and strong analytical skills, as well as a clear interest in software, troubleshooting, and quality assurance.
You work in a structured manner with high presence in daily work, collaborating closely with the on-site team to ensure high quality in our products and in the development of our solutions and processes.
In your work, you analyze problems, identify root causes, and contribute to improvements in how we develop, test, and verify our systems. You communicate clearly and thrive in an environment where you get to work on complex technical challenges together with others.
To succeed in this role, we see that you have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or similar
- 1–3 years of experience in software development
- Experience working in teams, preferably in agile environments
- A good understanding of programming and software design
- Basic knowledge in troubleshooting and technical analysis
- Programming skills in e.g., Python, C, or similar
- Good proficiency in Swedish and English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with scripting languages (Python or Lua)
- Knowledge of automotive and communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, Autosar)
- Basic knowledge of embedded systems
- Experience with test automation or similar technical environments
What We Offer
Here, you will work at the intersection of software, system understanding, and technology-driven problem solving. You will become part of the development of tools and platforms that ensure the quality of our products.
You will work closely with an experienced and engaged team with high technical competence, where presence, collaboration, and knowledge sharing are a natural part of everyday life. Here, you will have great opportunities to develop, take responsibility, and influence both technical solutions and working methods.
