You will step into a research-oriented environment where hydrological models, large datasets, and robust production chains are crucial for analysis and forecasting. Here, you will work closely with researchers and developers to develop, further develop, and maintain tools and applications that support data processing and modeling in a technically advanced Linux environment. The work involves both internal servers, cloud platforms, and high-performance computing environments, with a focus on stability, quality, and efficiency throughout the entire flow. You will become an important part of a context where programming, operations, data management, and system design meet, making the role particularly interesting for those who want to work close to both technology and business value.

• You develop, improve, and deploy applications and digital tools on internal servers and cloud platforms.
• You program and further develop solutions in a Linux environment with a focus on Bash, Python, and R.
• You work on optimizing and further developing the HYPE code.
• You handle and process large datasets and work with file formats such as NetCDF, GRIB, and CSV.
• You contribute to sustainable operation and maintenance of IT systems, including automation, version control, backup, monitoring, networking, and security solutions.
• You are responsible for collecting, managing, and processing data from observations to analysis and forecasting.
• You contribute to system design and architecture and implement technical solutions.
• You drive your own tasks and project packages within IT with a high degree of independence.
• You collaborate closely with researchers and developers to ensure the quality of the entire workflow, from data collection and model calculations to visualization and delivery of results.

• At least three (3) years of documented work experience in the last 10 years working in a Linux environment.
• At least three (3) years of documented work experience in the last 10 years setting up and running models on supercomputers (NSC).
• At least three (3) years of documented work experience in the last 10 years developing programs written in shell scripts, such as Bash, or Python.
• At least three (3) years of documented work experience in the last 10 years working with NetCDF files.
• You are fluent in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• You have good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

• At least three (3) years of experience running the HYPE model.
• More than two (2) years of experience working with large datasets.
• More than two (2) years of experience ensuring quality in production chains.
• More than two (2) years of experience developing in the R programming language.
