Here you have the opportunity to be involved in the entire chain, from requirements definition together with customers and pilots, to design and implementation. The systems engineering aims to develop subsystems that contribute to the aircraft's tactical capability, done in close collaboration with adjacent teams. We build the system that handles the mission and supports the pilot to execute it safely and efficiently.

You will be part of one of our agile teams. The teams are self-managing and responsible for their respective functions. We work with agile methods and a mix of proven and modern tools such as CLion, Git/Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence. The teams work with implementation in C++. We test fly functions in simulators and rigs to ensure that the software works when the aircraft is ready to fly and perform missions.

As a systems/software engineer with us, there are good opportunities for development. There is a great opportunity to broaden your skills. Saab has a wide range of courses covering everything from software/systems, to direct hardware and flight technology, as well as softer aspects such as technical leadership.
