Your Role

We are currently looking for a Software Developer to join our team at Secure Networking within Business Unit Digital Battlespace Solutions, where we develop secure and robust software-based networking solutions for systems primarily used in military applications. These systems integrate multiple technologies such as radio, satellite, fiber optics, and 5G.

As a Software Developer, you will develop, integrate, and test our various products, including verifying the software at the functional and system levels.

The role is primarily based on-site at Saab’s facilities in either Linköping or Stockholm, although remote work and travel may also occur.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who is a proactive and reliable team player with strong communication skills. You have a solid technical background in software development, a strong interest in communication technology, and a mindset focused on delivering high-quality results. You are curious, keep up with new technologies, share your expertise with your teammates, and contribute to knowledge transfer, documentation, and information sharing.

As a person, you need to be driven, independent, and interested in further development, while contributing to the team without ego and helping out where needed. You will be part of a diverse team where everyone's opinions and ideas are welcome, and collegial support and trust are natural components. It is important to us that you share these values, as we see them as a prerequisite for our team's long-term development.

The following are considered important for this role:

• Education such as a Master of Science or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, Technical Physics, or equivalent
• Experience from previous development projects
• Comfortable with the fact that detailed requirements are not necessarily clear from the start

We are primarily seeking a person with skills in Python. The following technical areas are also desirable:

• Programming languages such as P4, C, C++, Go
• Proficiency working in Linux environments, preferably with experience in Yocto
• Software Defined Networking
• Information Assurance and Cybersecurity
• Understanding of the interaction between software and hardware
• Other types of clearances or certifications are advantageous

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
