Your Role

As an engineer at Saab, you and your team will be involved throughout the entire product lifecycle, serving as a crucial piece in our journey towards the next generation of defense systems.

As a Systems Engineer, you play a central role in our projects, contributing a holistic perspective. You will have the opportunity to analyze and understand customer needs, manage requirements, and document technical specifications to guide the development process. Other responsibilities include technical ownership of a system and analyzing functions and performance. You will act as a key link between customers and developers, ensuring the system meets high quality standards.

You will operate across many technical areas, with broad interfaces within the company. To support you, we have well-defined processes and method descriptions available in our internal databases.

Your Profile

To thrive at Saab, you believe in a culture of curiosity, trust, and teamwork. We believe you hold a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a technical field, such as Technical Physics, Computer Science, or similar. However, the most important factor is that you share our passion for development and exciting new technology!

As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with the latest tools and technologies within the industry. We look for strong technical curiosity and an eye for detail. We believe you are stimulated by understanding technically complex solutions while enjoying social interaction. Experience and knowledge in algorithm development, product development, and technical documentation can be advantageous depending on the role. Knowledge and experience with tools such as Doors and Matlab are also meritorious. Our teams are diverse, and we believe that different perspectives and experiences contribute to creating even better solutions. Therefore, regardless of your previous experience and professional background, you are more than welcome to help shape the technology of the future.

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance procedures applicable at the time. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
