Your Responsibilities As a Maintenance Engineer within Ground Support Equipment (GSE), you will become part of Aeronautics – Saab's business area focused on the development, production, and support of the Gripen system as well as other advanced aviation-related solutions for the defense and civil aviation industries. You will belong to the GSE department, which is responsible for ensuring that the maintenance systems for Gripen and the Swedish Armed Forces' flying platforms have the right equipment to enable efficient and reliable operations.

The role is varied and covers work ranging from technical investigations to procurement preparation. You are responsible for maintenance equipment linked to one or several material groups and ensure recurring maintenance needs based on customer requirements.

The work includes among other things:

• Driving and conducting investigations related to maintenance equipment.
• Being responsible for the acquisition and procurement preparation of GSE.
• Ensuring that the right equipment is available for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Collaborating closely with disciplines such as ILS, design, maintenance preparation, and technical information.
• Working closely with marketing and purchasing functions to deliver business assignments with high quality.

The position involves collaboration across several locations, including Linköping, Arboga, and Östersund, and may also include travel to Saab's other sites, customers, and Swedish Armed Forces units.

In the long term, there is an opportunity to take on a leading role as a project or assignment manager, where you are responsible for delivery, economy, and follow-up in business and economic systems. The position is 100% on-site at Malmslätt, Linköping.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have a technical interest and thrive in a collaborative and changing environment. You are structured, business-minded, and have an aptitude for building relationships.

We see that you have:

• An engineering degree at university level, or equivalent experience (e.g., flight technician or other technical background).
• A few years of relevant work experience in technology or industry.
• Good ability to work independently and handle multiple parallel tasks.
• Ability to adapt to changed conditions.
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written.
• A valid driver's license (Category B).

Meritorious:

• Experience with Gripen's maintenance systems.
• Knowledge within GSE, ILS (Integrated Logistic Support), and requirements management.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical design documentation.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to current regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
