The Legal Department

We handle permit, supervision, and appeal cases under a large number of different legislations, such as environmental, traffic, planning and building, alcohol, tobacco, food, and public order laws. We also work with training and supporting our other colleagues at the County Administrative Board in administrative law, in addition to providing legal support and advice. Our department consists of employees with legal competence as well as competence in case management and registry.

Responsibilities

With us, you will have an stimulating position with dedicated colleagues where you work close to the operations. Your tasks are varied. You collaborate internally, among other things, on matters concerning environmental law and planning and building law. The responsibilities include processing cases and providing legal support to other parts of the County Administrative Board.

Qualifications

You have a law degree and several years of relevant experience in qualified legal work, of which at least two years in the public sector. You also have notarial qualifications or corresponding experience from the courts. Experience with the types of cases handled by the County Administrative Board is meritorious. Furthermore, it is meritorious to have good knowledge of public access and secrecy legislation and general administrative law, as well as experience in providing internal legal support.

As a person, you are driven, structured, and able to work independently and result-oriented. You are meticulous and have a good ability to express yourself both orally and in writing. You are also receptive, find it easy to collaborate with others, and adapt easily to new situations.

You represent the County Administrative Board in a trustworthy manner. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Conditions

The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period, with a start date as agreed. Your job title at the authority will be Case Officer.

A security investigation with register check is conducted according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) before a decision on employment is made. Swedish citizenship is required in some cases.
