The Legal Unit

We handle permit, supervision, and appeal cases under a large number of different legislations, e.g., environmental, traffic, planning and building, alcohol, tobacco, food, and public order legislation. We also work with training and supporting our other colleagues at the County Administrative Board in administrative law, in addition to providing legal support and advice. Our unit consists of employees with legal competence as well as competence in case management and registry.

Job Responsibilities

With us, you will have an stimulating position with engaged colleagues where you work close to the operations. Your tasks are varied. You collaborate internally, among other things, on issues concerning environmental law and planning and building law. The tasks include processing cases and providing legal support to other parts of the County Administrative Board.

Qualifications

You have a law degree and several years of current experience in qualified legal work, of which at least two years in the public sector. Experience with the types of cases handled by the County Administrative Board is meritorious. Furthermore, good knowledge of public access and secrecy legislation and general administrative law, as well as experience in providing internal legal support, is meritorious. Notarial qualifications or corresponding professional experience from the court are also meritorious.

As a person, you are driven, structured, and can work independently and result-oriented. You are meticulous and have a good ability to express yourself both orally and in writing. You are also receptive, easy to collaborate with others, and quick to adapt to new situations.

You represent the County Administrative Board in a trustworthy manner. We place great importance on your personal qualities.

Conditions

The employment is fixed-term with start date by agreement until the end of April 2027. Your job title at the authority will be Case Officer.

A security investigation with register check will be conducted according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) before a decision on employment is made. Swedish citizenship is required in some cases.

Interviews are planned for June 25 and 26.
