To our preschool, Pärlan, we are now looking for a preschool teacher or a qualified childcare worker with extensive experience who is passionate about children's development and learning. This is a temporary position for the academic year 2026/2027, with a start date at the beginning of the academic year in August.

We value a good working climate where interaction and relationships are key. We are looking for you who want to make a difference for our children and always put the child's best interests first.

You have extensive experience working in a preschool setting and feel confident in your role. Working both independently and as part of a team is second nature to you. You have excellent communication skills with parents and colleagues, are well-versed in the Swedish National Curriculum for the Preschool, and have experience being responsible for children's introduction to the preschool environment. We value experience, creativity, and a high level of engagement.

Since we work according to Maria Montessori's pedagogy, knowledge and/or experience of Montessori pedagogy is a significant asset.

The position is full-time with placement on a department for children aged 1–3 years.

Preschool Pärlan has eight departments, two of which are for children aged 1–3 and two for children aged 3–5. The departments for the youngest children are located on the ground floor in two wing buildings, each with its own outdoor area. It is a smaller preschool within a larger organization. We work in close collaboration with the nearest departments in each wing, as well as across the entire preschool, to ensure smooth transitions between age groups and on to preschool class.

The preschool should be joyful, secure, and educational – a place where children develop independence and trust in their own abilities.

Strängnäs Montessori is a parent-driven independent school located in beautiful, carefully renovated premises in the scenic Sundby Park in Strängnäs. The operation includes preschool, primary school, and after-school care, with approximately 600 children and students aged 1–16. We have approximately 100 employees.
