Ekerö Housing Support is a practical, pedagogical, and social intervention aimed at strengthening an individual's ability to manage daily life – both at home and in society. Here, dedicated housing support workers with experience from healthcare and social care work together. The work is individually tailored based on each person's needs and goals, focusing on promoting independence, creating structure in daily life, and preventing institutional care. Continuity and good relationships are central parts of the assignment.

We currently have four units located centrally in Ekerö Centre: Housing Support/Social Psychiatry and three Service Apartments. We are now looking for a housing support worker for the housing support team. The work is flexible and involves working where the need is greatest.

Here, we work together to develop operations and create the best possible support for those we serve. Our goal is that every person granted this intervention should have the opportunity to live an independent and meaningful life. We provide individually adapted support so that everyone has the same chance to live, participate, and be part of society.

You will become part of a competent, secure, and pleasant work group where we help each other and collaborate closely. We value flexibility; sometimes we support each other across unit boundaries when needs arise.

We need to support the regular care team with a wonderful temporary substitute! Here, you will have a role where you make a difference every day.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role, you need the following:

• A pedagogical education or education within psychiatry. At least at the upper secondary level, but further education is meritorious.
• Experience working with people in vulnerable and difficult situations.
• Experience working with people with substance abuse issues.
• Good computer skills, as we work with several digital operational systems.
• Knowledge and experience of social documentation (IBIC is meritorious).
• Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing.
• Very good knowledge of the Swedish language.

It is important that you have a professional approach focusing on low-affective handling and clarifying pedagogy. You should also have good knowledge of various disabilities, such as autism, ADHD, and problematic behaviors.

You have a positive outlook and a strong commitment to people. You are responsible, have personal maturity, and enjoy working in a team where you contribute to a good work climate. Here, the client/user's best interest is always in focus, and we work with collegial learning.

As a person, you are independent, unpretentious, and have good teamwork skills. The work involves many contacts – with relatives, case managers, managers, colleagues, day activities, and other important people in the individual's life. Therefore, it is important that you are clear, pedagogical, and driven by helping people grow and develop.

A driver's license is required.
