Are you a creative person passionate about providing meaningful activities? We are now looking for an engaged support assistant at 50% for Studion!
Waxö Omsorg is a small care company offering support, service, and nursing to adults with cognitive and neuropsychiatric disabilities.
The needs, wishes, and integrity of the individual are guiding principles for all operations at Waxö Omsorg. A key starting point is that the care recipient is offered the support they need to live as independent and content-rich a life as possible.
TAKK (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) is integrated into the work at Waxö Omsorg as part of the communication with care recipients. Knowledge in this area is an advantage. We work solution-oriented to ensure a good working environment for everyone, backed by a strong environmental policy.
About the workplace
Studion offers day activities under the LSS Act (Support and Service Act) Section 9, Paragraph 10, target group 1. The activities consist of group activities focused on creativity, drama, music, and film.
The premises are located by the beautiful Järla Lake, with good bus connections. The activities are spread over two floors: a stage room on the ground floor and an atelier on the first floor.
About the position
We are looking for a support assistant who wants to be part of an engaged team and contribute to meeting the needs and development potential of care recipients.
The position is a permanent part-time role at 50%, distributed over 2–3 weekdays without public holidays per week, making it easy to combine with other employment. A six-month probationary period applies.
Your responsibilities include:
- Leading group activities within one of the activity areas.
- Providing support to care recipients according to established routines.
About you
- You have a genuine interest in working with individuals requiring support under the LSS Act.
- You are skilled at recognizing people's strengths and opportunities for development.
- You have the ability to safeguard the individual's interests, participation, and influence through a motivating approach, while promoting independence.
- You can create meaningful activities through creative leadership that utilizes individual resources.
- You can design clear and essential routines.
- You can create security and predictability in daily life.
- You prioritize the individual's needs through low-affective interaction.
- You understand the importance of communication and can ensure the individual's right to communicate on their own terms.
Experience or interest in drama, music, or filmmaking is considered an asset.
