About me
I am an 11-year-old girl living in Älvsjö with my family. I am now looking for you who want to be an important part of my daily life and who can support me in a safe, attentive, and present manner.

With me, you will have a job where you truly make a difference. You will be by my side at school, at home, and during various activities. I need you to help me participate, understand my signals, and contribute to making my day as safe, functional, and rich in content as possible.

I enjoy when things are happening around me. On weekdays, I go to school, and my assistant accompanies me there. After school and during my free time, I like to go out for activities. I enjoy swimming, participating in various Paralympic sports activities, and joining my family on excursions.

As my assistant, you are with me in different environments and situations. Sometimes I need support with practical matters, and sometimes I need help understanding and participating in what is happening around me.

About you:
I am looking for someone who is warm, patient, and stable. You need to be attentive and able to read me even when I do not communicate with words. It is important that you are present, curious to get to know me, and respectful of my way of being.

I believe you are a person who creates calm around you. You need to be able to take initiative when necessary, but also understand the importance of listening to me, my family, and my routines. I appreciate it if you are creative, flexible, and can find solutions in everyday life in a safe and natural way.

For me, it is important that you are physically strong, as manual lifting and floor work occur.

For me, it is important that you are attentive, calm, and secure, so that you can give me the right support at the right time.

It is an advantage if you have previously worked with children with disabilities. It is also a plus if you have experience with tube feeding, a feeding port (G-tube), or a feeding pump.

Experience with night watch is desirable as such shifts may occur. The most important thing is that you are responsible, eager to learn, and see the work with me as something long-term.

Staffing:
This position includes an extended (and compensated) staffing assignment, which means that during certain weeks, you must be reachable at times other than working hours to call in a substitute or step in and assist yourself when intervention is required. This is Assistans i Balans's way of ensuring that our clients always have a familiar assistant by their side. The assignment is shared by all assistants who work according to a regular schedule.

The position:
Is at 82% with varied working hours, days, evenings, and weekends on a rolling schedule.
