Gazella is now recruiting an Accounting & Admin Specialist for Petzl, a global leader in climbing and safety equipment for outdoor activities and high-altitude work. Petzl Nordic is responsible for brand development and business operations in Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Denmark. In this role, you will have overall responsibility for the accounting of the Nordic operations. You will work broadly with accounting, payroll, and administrative matters in an international environment, serving as a key contact person for both local and global stakeholders. The role is based at the office in Kista, where you will work alongside colleagues in Operations, Customer Service, After Sales, and Supply Chain.

Your Challenge

As an Accounting & Admin Specialist, you are responsible for accounting, payroll, and various administrative functions for Petzl Nordic. This is a key role involving close collaboration with Petzl's global finance function, with a proactive focus on identifying and driving initiatives for cost optimization.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for the ongoing financial functions in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland.
  • Handle accounting from A to Z, including the general ledger, accounts receivable and payable, bank reconciliations, payroll, as well as VAT and tax reporting.
  • Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as well as financial reporting in accordance with current regulations.
  • Prepare budgets and quarterly forecasts in close collaboration with the Managing Director, and conduct analyses and follow-ups of results.
  • Handle VAT and income tax returns and ensure compliance with local accounting and tax regulations.
  • Act as a contact person for external parties such as auditors, banks, payroll providers, tax consultants, and pension providers.
  • Collaborate closely with the headquarters in France regarding accounting, reporting, reconciliations, and group-related matters.
  • Participate in group reporting and consolidation, including intercompany reconciliations.
  • Quality-assure and follow up on the payroll process in collaboration with external payroll providers.
  • Handle and follow up on employee expense reports and reimbursements.
  • Support the Managing Director in administrative and HR-related matters and coordinate holiday planning within the Nordic organization.
Your Background
  • Post-secondary education in economics, accounting, or equivalent.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in qualified accounting work.
  • Experience handling the accounting process from A to Z independently according to K3.
  • Experience with reporting and tax handling.
  • Experience with payroll management.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish accounting standards (K3).
  • Experience with accounting and coordination between Nordic countries, such as Norway, Denmark, or Finland.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as you will communicate in both languages daily.
  • Experience with or understanding of group reporting and intercompany processes is considered an asset.
  • Experience with SAP is considered an asset.
