Job Responsibilities

The Open Preschool is a meeting place for adults and children, from newborns until the child starts school. The activity offers a pedagogical environment where children can play and adults can meet other adults. The assignment includes actively contributing to an inviting and pleasant meeting place where children and adults feel welcome. This means that content and approach are carefully thought out to create a positive and fun environment for networking and learning.

Working in open preschool activity means introducing children and guardians to a first preschool environment. The Open Preschool also offers general parenting support, both in the open activity and in program form. You work from an approach regarding the equal value of all and gender-equal parenting.

You lead the pedagogical work together with colleagues in an engaged work team. Together you plan, implement, document, and follow up on the activity. We believe in a way of working where collaboration, responsibility, and clear communication are a natural part of everyday life.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• are a licensed preschool teacher
• have good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• have good knowledge of using digital tools in work

You are independent, take responsibility for both your own and the work team's tasks, and contribute to good collaboration.

You build trusting relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues. You are also responsive in your treatment and show respect and care for others.

You understand that children have different prerequisites and absorb knowledge in different ways. Based on this, you create a safe and developing environment where every child has the opportunity to develop at their own pace.

It is meritorious if you have several years of work experience as a preschool teacher, preferably with experience working in open preschool activity. It is also an advantage if you have previously worked with parenting support.

We are responsible for education and care for approximately 25,000 children in nearly 350 municipal preschools. The administration has about 7,000 employees distributed across approximately 75 professions.
