About the Workplace
Häggvallskolan is a school for grades 6-9 located at Höviksnäs on the northeastern part of Tjörn. Communication possibilities are good, with a bus stop right outside the school.
Our school is welcoming and has a good work climate among everyone who works here, both students and staff. The school has approximately 400 students distributed across 4 work teams and a special education group. We strive to ensure that all students feel included in the school's activities.
We are looking for 2 Elevassistants
Job Responsibilities
As an elevassistant at Häggvallskolan, you work to help, support, and stimulate students in need of special support towards learning, development, and independence.
The work is carried out on behalf of the responsible teacher based on the current curriculum and aims to create conditions that enable students to learn, acquire new knowledge, and develop into independent individuals. The role involves creating a safe environment and framework for the students so they can focus on their studies and facilitate the development of relationships among themselves.
The elevassistant supports students throughout the school day and has very close cooperation and frequent communication with other teachers to jointly strive to find individual solutions so that every student can benefit from new knowledge. Understanding each other's professional roles is of utmost importance. The work involves constant attention, analysis, and understanding of situations inside and outside the classroom. For example, paying attention to students' performance and development to convey this to the responsible teacher, as well as analyzing and understanding instructions from the responsible teacher and assessing which action provides the best support for the students.
Qualifications
- Experience working as an elevassistant or other experience from similar tasks is meritorious.
- You need to have an understanding of the role of an elevassistant and be sensitive to the student's needs.
- As a person, you are responsible and empathetic.
- Collaborative and communication skills are required.
- Good pedagogical skills are meritorious.
- You are calm and patient.
Great importance will be attached to the personal qualities of the applicant.
Employment Conditions
Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
If you are offered employment within the Child and Education Administration, you are required by the Education Act to present an extract without remarks from the Police's criminal record register.
