Job Description

The Child Health Support Team is tasked with supporting preschool teachers, principals, and operational managers in leading and developing child health work in preschools. The team consists of competent special needs educators, psychologists, speech therapists, and social workers, who all work under the direction of the principal but are led by the Unit Manager for Child Health.

Our primary mission is to provide educators and principals with the conditions and tools to create Sweden's best preschools. Through an inclusive approach, we work proactively and preventatively to uphold every child's right to a developmental, safe, and professional learning environment.

As a Special Needs Educator, you will:

• Work based on current regulatory documents and job descriptions.
• Work evidence-based, drawing on current research and proven experience.
• Work goal-oriented based on a model for systematic quality work.
• Work close to operations within the principal team's geographical area.
• Support and challenge work teams with a focus on approach, interaction, and the development of pedagogical learning environments.

To succeed in your role as a Special Needs Educator with us, you are offered continuous professional supervision and relevant competence development.

We offer a permanent position and a six-month temporary contract with the possibility of extension.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Hold a degree in Special Needs Education.
• Have professional licensure as a preschool teacher or teacher.
• Are well-versed in the preschool curriculum and regulatory documents.

You are driven by a strong commitment to children's right to equal upbringing conditions and thrive when working together with others towards common goals and tasks. To succeed in the role of Special Needs Educator, you are stable and secure, and can adapt your approach based on different conditions and expectations. As a person, you are humble, respectful, sensitive, and considerate of others. To perform the duties included in this position, you must have good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have experience working as a Special Needs Educator in preschool, preferably with assignments as an overarching Special Needs Educator. Experience in language-promoting methods, multilingualism, and intercultural work is also meritorious.
