About the Culture and Education Administration

The operations of the Culture and Education Administration include upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, adult education, youth clubs, cultural schools, cultural houses, libraries, museums, art halls, tourism, event operations, facilities, Nolhaga Ice Hall, Nolhaga Farm, Nolhaga Park Bath, and support for associations. Approximately 420 employees work within the entire administration.

The educational operations are constantly facing new, but also recurring, challenges. In Alingsås Municipality, the Culture and Education Board strives to create a school that equips students with the best prerequisites for life after school. About Alströmergymnasiet

Alströmergymnasiet in Alingsås Municipality is an upper secondary school with approximately 1,250 students distributed across 11 national programs, adapted upper secondary school, and introductory programs, which also include language classes for newly arrived students. The educational operations are divided into seven sectors, each with a principal as head, and together we are over 220 employees.

WORK ASSIGNMENTS

You will work independently together with colleagues and be responsible for individual students who need a structured learning environment in adapted premises. In your role as a pedagogical assistant, you will primarily work to facilitate learning for students who need complex teaching strategies.

You will work in a flexible organization where you need to be able to meet rapid changes and, together with your colleagues, contribute to creating a safe and stimulating work environment where both students and adults thrive and have the opportunity to develop.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements for the position:

• Documented multi-year experience working with the target group within adapted upper secondary school and the introductory program
• Documented knowledge in adapting teaching through varied teaching strategies and learning environments based on students' individual needs, as well as a low-affective approach in meeting with students
• Relevant education for the assignment

Meritorious:

• Good digital competence
• Specialized knowledge that contributes to developing students' participation and learning

To succeed in the role, you are flexible and have the ability to see opportunities before obstacles. You build good relationships and can adapt your interaction based on the students' needs.
