Teacher for Little Preschool Class at Katrineberg School
Katrineberg School is a preschool to grade 6 school with approximately 200 students. The school is located in the Åby area in central Mölndal, with nearby environments that offer many opportunities within the educational mission. The school is organized into work teams. For us at Katrineberg School, the whole picture and the collaborative work around our students are a crucial starting point, which we base our guiding documents on.
Katrineberg School works according to the evidence-based school model PALS.
About the Little Preschool Class
The Little Preschool Class is a specially adapted activity within the preschool class at Katrineberg School in the City of Mölndal. The activity is aimed at children who, prior to starting school, have significant intellectual challenges and cognitive difficulties and who need a smaller and more structured learning environment.
The purpose of the Little Preschool Class is to give the children a secure and accessible start in the world of school, as well as to create good conditions for learning and development. During the year, the activity works with pedagogical observations and assessments that form the basis for the child's continued schooling prior to transitioning to an adapted primary school.
The Little Preschool Class is conducted within the primary school system, and children do not need a formal diagnosis to participate. The work takes place in close collaboration between educators, student health services, guardians, and central municipal functions. The activity is characterized by clear structure, high adult presence, and a relational approach where the children's needs are at the center.
About the City of Mölndal
In the City of Mölndal's School Administration, we work every day to create the best conditions for the development and lifelong learning of children and students. With approximately 2,000 dedicated employees and 12,000 children and students in our activities, we are Mölndal's largest administration - and a hub for future education. Here, you become part of a curious, brave, and solution-focused organization where innovation is encouraged and the child's best always comes first.
