Your Assignment
In the role of teacher in grades 4–6, you teach students in Swedish, English, and preferably Natural Sciences (NO), Social Sciences (SO), or Swedish as a Second Language (SVA). You are responsible for planning, conducting, and evaluating teaching in your subjects based on the curriculum. You adapt the teaching to students' needs, interests, and prerequisites, and work with leadership and stimulation in the classroom. You follow up, assess, and document students' knowledge development. Creating study peace and security is a natural part of the assignment.
The assignment also includes mentorship for grade 4. You are responsible for creating trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. To create the right conditions for students, close collaboration with other teachers, the student health team, and school leadership is required. You participate in subject groups and are part of a middle school team consisting of teachers and support staff. You collaborate regarding students, planning, assessment, pedagogical development work, and systematic quality work. There is room to influence and develop teaching based on interest, knowledge, and experience.
Your Experience
For this position, you are required to have:
- Teacher certification with subject eligibility for grades 4–6 in Swedish and English.
- At least three years of experience working as a teacher in middle school.
- Good digital competence with experience using digital pedagogical tools.
- Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
It is meritorious if you also have:
- Teacher certification with subject eligibility for grades 4–6 in Natural Sciences (NO) and Social Sciences (SO), or Swedish as a Second Language (SVA).
- Experience in mentorship.
- Experience working with students in need of extra adjustments and special support.

What We Offer
Järla School is an F-6 school with approximately 730 students located in central Nacka with good transport connections. Nacka Music Classes are also available for grades 4–6. We actively work to create a holistic knowledge and security environment from preschool class to grade 6. We receive high results in perceived security from both students and guardians. We are proud of our expanded and active outdoor and recess activities. Two recess coordinators work full-time with and drive this initiative.
