Your Assignment

You will work on a department for children aged 2.5–4.5 years together with another preschool teacher and a childcare worker. In your assignment, you are responsible for planning, implementing, following up, and developing teaching in accordance with the curriculum. As a preschool teacher with us, you lead the pedagogical work in the work team. Together with your colleagues, you create a safe, fun, and educational operation where every child's development and learning are in focus. The children's participation and influence are a natural part of the daily work, and you work to create an inclusive learning environment that challenges and inspires.

You work project-oriented and document children's learning processes in a common template for systematic quality work through reflection and analysis. You actively participate in pedagogical documentation and development work, where we have a special focus on children's language development as well as health and movement. At our place, language permeates the operation because we see it as the foundation for all learning.

The assignment also includes, together with the work team, driving and developing the pedagogical work and collaborating with guardians through daily contact, pedagogical conversations, and parent meetings. You participate in introductions and project work and contribute actively to the overall development of the operation. The assignment also includes responsibility for opening and closing the preschool.

Your Background

For this position, you must have:

• Preschool teacher certification
• Experience of working in preschool
• Experience and good knowledge of pedagogical documentation
• Experience of actively driving the preschool's development and quality work
• Good knowledge of the curriculum and the ability to put it into practice
• Good digital competence and familiarity with working with digital tools
• Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is meritorious if you also have:

• Interest in creative work
• Experience and interest in language-developing methods
• Experience working with children in need of special support
• Experience participating in development conversations.

You are clear in your communication – both in your pedagogical approach, in cooperation with colleagues, and in daily contact with guardians. You have good pedagogical ability and an understanding that every child has unique conditions and needs. Based on this, you can adapt teaching and activities to best support the children's development and learning.

You enjoy working in a team and contribute to a positive work climate. You are sensitive to your colleagues and work towards common goals. At the same time, you are self-reliant, take your own initiatives, and have the ability to drive work forward, both together with the work team and independently in working with a smaller group of children. Finally, you are flexible and have an easy time handling varying tasks, working methods, and situations. You adapt to changed circumstances and always have the best interests of the children and the operation in focus.
