The Education Administration is responsible for all operations within the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school centers, upper secondary schools, and adult education.

The preschool area Brage and Ymer consists of two nearby preschools where we work together to develop teaching. Here you will meet modern learning environments and an operation based on children's curiosity, exploration, and participation.

Job Description

Do you want to work in an inspiring and creative learning environment where children's curiosity and exploration are at the center?

We work project-based, which means we start from the children's thoughts, interests, experiences, and opinions and connect these in the children's projects with the goals and intentions of the curriculum as a foundation.

We use pedagogical documentation where, through observation, reflection, and analysis of the children's learning processes and exploration, we reshape the education with the aim of challenging the children further in their learning.

Your duties include working purposefully with colleagues, planning, implementing, following up, and evaluating education according to current regulatory documents. You lead and develop education for your department and for the entire preschool together with your work team and your preschool teacher colleagues.

You will be responsible for leading colleagues in reflections regarding pedagogical processes. Your ability and experience in supporting and daring to challenge colleagues to broaden their perspectives on development, learning, and care is of great importance in our context.

Based on your special educational needs competence, you need to have experience in practical work with adaptations, support measures, and skill training. Knowledge of support needs related to Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NPF). Knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and clarifying pedagogy. Knowledge of a relational approach and inclusion. Experience in writing assessments and action plans, as well as the ability to convey competence to colleagues and create good collaborations.

At our preschools, we have a language-developing work based on current research to promote children's language development with a focus on multilingualism. As a foundation for this work, we use Sigtuna Municipality's Central Language Plan.

Qualifications

We are looking for a qualified preschool teacher with a few years of experience in the profession and special educational needs competence. You are well acquainted with the preschool's systematic quality work. Experience working according to Reggio Emilia pedagogy is meritorious, which means you see the child as an active citizen with a strong inner drive to explore the world. It is meritorious if you have special educational needs education in the form of courses and further training. You master Swedish in both speech and writing.

As a person, you are structured and used to working according to clear processes. You plan and organize your work effectively, complete what you have started, and meet deadlines. You are confident in yourself and can stand up for your opinions, have the courage to speak up, and can distinguish between the matter and the person. Furthermore, you enjoy collaborating and have a flat-hierarchy focus on the common goal. You are solution-oriented and quickly find ways forward when problems arise.
