The Southern Boo Principal Area consists of Björknässkolan, Boo Gård School, Björknäs Adapted Comprehensive and Upper Secondary School, a special preschool, and three preschools. Your Assignment

In the role of Teacher in Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Technology, you teach students in grades 7–9. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in your subjects based on the curriculum. You adapt the teaching based on students' needs, interests, and prerequisites. You follow up, assess, grade, and document students' knowledge development. The assignment includes shared mentorship for a class in the lower secondary school. To create good conditions for the students, you work in close collaboration with other teachers, school leadership, the student health team, and, if necessary, the special educational needs team. Creating study peace and security is a natural part of the work.

The role involves close collegial collaboration within the lower secondary team. You collaborate regarding students, planning, assessment, grading, pedagogical development work, and systematic quality work.

Your Experience

For this position, you are required to have:

• Teacher certification with subject eligibility for grades 7–9 in Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
• Good digital competence with experience working with digital pedagogical tools.
• Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

The following are considered meritorious:

• Teacher certification with subject eligibility for grades 7–9 in Technology.
• Experience working as a teacher in Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and/or Technology at the lower secondary level.
• Experience with mentorship.
• Experience working with students in need of extra adjustments and special support.

Björknässkolan is a stable and well-functioning comprehensive school (grades F–9) with approximately 800 students. The school dates back to the late 1800s and is beautifully located in a natural area near Björknäs center, with access to a football field, ice hall, sports hall, and athletics arena. We have good communications and free parking directly adjacent to the school.
