Do you want to help shape the personal assistants and team leaders of the future? We are now looking for an experienced course leader to drive and develop our education programs. About the position Contract employment at 50% for the period 2026-08-06 to 2027-07-31. Thereafter, new information is expected from the Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education, and the employment may be extended further.
- As a course leader at Assistansakademin, you will be responsible for, among other things:
- Conducting and teaching digital workshops 1-2 days a week.
- Continuous contact and support for students
- Booking lecturers
- Active work to develop and improve the education programs
- Administration including grading
- Participation in management group meetings
We would like you to have:
- Good computer skills and an aptitude for learning new systems
- Experience working within higher vocational education
- Experience in the profession of personal assistance, preferably in team leadership
- Ability and experience in lecturing and teaching
- Social skills and ease in creating and maintaining relationships
- Motivation and commitment to improving educational activities
- Strong proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written

Assistansakademin has offered higher vocational education since 2021. A strong management group consisting of ten personal assistance providers in Sweden ensures the quality of our education so that our teaching provides our students with the knowledge, competencies, and skills that the working life demands. Assistansakademin is run by JAG Utbildning, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the non-profit association Brukarkooperativet JAG. The cooperative's more than 450 members have various significant disabilities, including intellectual disabilities. The assistance activities in JAG have, since the beginning, focused strongly on the members' opportunities for self-determination, thoughtful practical introduction for new employees, and continuous competence development for personal assistants and team leaders. The cooperative is one of the largest non-profit actors in the welfare sector, and JAG Personal Assistance is Sweden's largest private personal assistance provider operating without profit motives. In the non-profit national association JAG, members work politically to secure the future of the assistance reform and to fight against IQ discrimination in society. The association was founded in 1992 to promote the creation and implementation of the LSS Act, which includes the right to personal assistance. We offer:
