Statens institutionsstyrelse (SiS) is a government agency responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse problems. SiS also carries out closed youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse issues across the country. At SiS, your working life becomes an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Home Rebecka receives non-compulsory school-age girls with psychosocial issues, as well as those involved in crime and substance abuse.

Job Description

Join our journey of change! Do you want to work in a key function and contribute to higher quality in our operations? Apply for the position of HR Generalist at SiS. This role is a crucial part of creating the conditions for SiS to establish a more equitable and efficient way of working throughout the organization.

As an HR Generalist, you support the institution's managers and contribute to creating the conditions for them to fully perform their best work: being present managers. In this role, you work operationally, independently, and broadly across the entire HR area, which includes; recruitment, systematic work environment management, rehabilitation, competence development, labor law regarding terms and agreements, and union negotiations. You will collaborate with various professional groups within the institution, within the agency, as well as with external actors such as occupational health services. You have experience and knowledge of working in various personnel systems. At SiS, we use Primula and Reachmee, to name a few.

We are currently in a period of change/transition at SiS Youth Home Rebecka, which has led to a higher workload. Therefore, we are looking for someone who wants to be involved, is cooperative, and is flexible regarding the operational needs. We see that you are responsible and ensure the completion of various types of tasks within your responsibility. You also have the ability to follow through on various decisions made at the department and the youth home.

With this recruitment, we are now looking for an additional HR Generalist, with the ambition to have two HR Generalists.

As a new employee at SiS, you will undergo SiS basic training.

Qualifications

To perform the job in the best possible way, we have the following requirements:

  • Relevant post-secondary academic education (180 ECTS credits) from a university/college as a human resources specialist, behavioral scientist, or similar.
  • Several years of experience in broad operational HR work.
  • Good knowledge and current experience of labor law advisory.
  • Experience working with competence-based recruitment.
  • Experience in providing management support in all common HR matters.
  • Good knowledge of work environment legislation, employment terms and benefits, competence development, culture work, systematic work environment management, rehabilitation, and experience working with these processes.

Merits:

  • Knowledge of public sector labor law.
  • Experience of HR work within a public organization such as a municipality or government agency.
  • Experience working with competence-based recruitment.

It is also important that you have good pedagogical skills and communicate clearly based on the target audience.

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
