Our Assignment:

Scope: Full-time, 6 months (Start ASAP)

Location: Stockholm (Hybrid: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote)

On behalf of one of our clients, we are currently seeking a Senior Interim Group Financial Controller for an assignment of at least 6 months with an immediate start. You will join the company's Global Finance team in central Stockholm.

In this role, you will be responsible for the group's financial reporting, consolidation, internal controls, and ongoing accounting processes. In addition to operational tasks, you will play a key role in change projects, focusing on reviewing, cleaning up, and driving the work in the event of a change to the group's consolidation system.

The role involves strong functional leadership, where you are expected to drive processes and act as an internal expert.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement).
• Ensure compliance with IFRS as well as legal reporting requirements for the group's subsidiaries and business units.
• Analyze historical balances in the existing consolidation system and lead the project in the event of a system change.
• Guide and set requirements for the local finance teams of subsidiaries to ensure uniform reporting and "best practice".
• Act as a functional leader and strategic sounding board within the group's accounting and reporting function.

Your Background:

We are looking for an independent, confident, and analytical accountant who thrives in a changing, high-paced environment and is driven by process improvements and automation.

Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience in qualified accounting and group accounting, preferably with a foundation from Big 4 (or equivalent).

Regulations: Strong knowledge of IFRS is required. Experience with Swedish or foreign GAAP is advantageous.

Leadership: Experience in functional leadership, process, or project management within international group structures. You have high integrity and are comfortable driving change and setting demands in a matrix organization (formal line management responsibility is not required).

Systems: Good system understanding (preferably NetSuite or similar ERP). Experience with Aaro is a big plus, as is advanced knowledge of Excel and financial modeling.

Industry: Experience from FinTech, banking, or financial services is advantageous.
