About the Position
As a Junior Analyst in Defense Economics and Futures Studies, you will work on structuring and analyzing issues related to the total defense's resources, processes, organization, and results, with the aim of developing decision support materials that improve these operations.
You will work in a project format together with colleagues and clients, sometimes being deployed to organizations such as the Swedish Armed Forces or the Government Offices. The assignments vary from rapid analyses to more long-term studies and require strong analytical skills, collaboration abilities, and the ability to communicate results clearly. You will work on several projects in parallel.
About the Unit
You will become part of the Business Area Defense Economics and Futures Studies, which belongs to the Division of Defense Analysis. Together, our employees in the Division of Defense Analysis form a unique analysis organization with a wide breadth of experience and academic disciplines. The business area, like the division, is characterized by our ability to combine analysis and research to cross-disciplinarily identify, describe, and solve complex problems. Do you have the competence profile we need?
Requirements
- An academic degree at master's or equivalent level in economics, information technology, computer science, or similar.
- Knowledge of qualitative and/or quantitative analytical methods.
- Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
We see that you, as a candidate, have a good ability to collaborate with both colleagues and clients. You relate to other people in a listening and empathetic manner. You work well with complex issues, where you analyze and break down problems into their constituent parts. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
Merits
- Experience working in project formats.
- Proven experience in analysis and written production within the business area's subject fields, for example through a master's thesis or degree project.

The position is a permanent employment that may be initiated with a six-month probationary period.
