Are you looking for a technically challenging project manager role in a growing organization? Our client develops advanced battery systems for large-scale environments and is in an intensive growth phase. We are now looking for a structured technical project manager for a parental leave vacancy who wants to take overall responsibility for international customer projects from contract to final delivery.

About the role

As a project manager at our client, you will become a key player in their Operations team. The role involves overall responsibility for planning, coordinating, and executing complex customer projects with high demands on quality, delivery security, and technical understanding. You lead the projects through their entire lifecycle, from signed contract and planning to delivery, implementation, and commissioning of advanced energy storage systems.

The role is broad with many international interfaces. You act as the link between the customer's external stakeholders and the internal specialist functions within design, procurement, production, and sales.

Responsibilities

In this role, you have full ownership of the project results regarding time, budget, and scope. You structure the project delivery and manage communication channels to ensure high quality and delivery security.

• Responsible for overall project, budget, and resource planning.
• Lead the execution of delivery projects and ensure compliance with technical requirements, standards, and regulations.
• Identify risks, handle change management, and continuously report status to stakeholders.
• Support the engineering team in requirements management and assist the sales department with technical requirement validation during the contract phase.
• Drive continuous improvements and method development to optimize project processes.

We are looking for someone who

• Has several years of experience in technical project management, project control, and monitoring in a complex environment.
• Has a university degree in mechanical engineering, industrial economics, or equivalent technical work experience.
• Has experience leading cross-functional project teams.
• Has fluent skills in English in both speech and writing.

It is an advantage if you have

• Experience from the marine sector, shipbuilding industry, defense industry, and/or automotive industry.
• A technical foundation or background in electricity, automation, or mechanics.
• Good understanding of marine systems, battery systems, charging systems, or DC systems.
• Experience working with classification societies such as DNV or BV.
• Experience with business or ERP systems (e.g., Monitor ERP).
• Knowledge of Swedish.
